Facilities
The Ranch consists of four barns with a total of 17 box stalls and attached turnouts. All the box
stalls are 12 X 12. The attached turnouts vary in size from 12 X 12 to 12 X 36 and consist of
three- and four-rail-high pipe. Box stalls have either concrete floors with full mats or dirt floors
with partial mats.
All stalls have filtered water; most
have automatic waterers. Horses are fed organic and/or pesticide- and herbicide-free feed twice a day. Basic board includes shavings used in turnout areas only, to encourage horses
to relieve themselves outside where odors can evaporate more quickly in the air.
There is a 50 round corral, a 36 X 36 turnout, plus a lighted arena with sand footing. An automatic
fly spray system is connected to all barns. Only non-toxic fly spray materials are used.
There is a locked tack room and riders lounge, a barn office, and room for parking. Trail access is
immediately adjacent to the property including access to 160 acres dedicated as open space with trails
for hiking and horseback riding. The County of Los Angeles is currently in the process of connecting
various trails throughout the county, including this area. There are many people in the canyon who are
dedicated horse people and trail riders.
