Facilities & Services

The Ranch consists of three barns with box stalls and attached turnouts. All the box stalls are 12’ X 12’. The attached turnouts vary in size from 12’ X 12” to 12’ X 36’ and consist of three- and four-rail-high pipe. Box stalls have either concrete or dirt floors with mats.

In addition to the services provided under Basic Board, we are in the process of constructing a round corral and horse playground/obstacle course. Early feedback from boarders and friends indicate that these features will be in high demand and use!

The Ranch has trail access, off-road parking, and is adjacent to 160 acres of dedicated open space with trails for hiking and horseback riding. The neighborhood is horse-friendly.

Basic Board

• High-quality grass hays with little to no alfalfa, fed twice daily
• Stalls cleaned once a day
• Individual water buckets and filtered water
• Himalayan salt licks
• Shavings in outside stall areas (only)
• Carrots
• Non-toxic fly-deterrent system
• Locked and secure tack room
• Use of sink-room and frig for supplements, carrots, etc.
• Portable toilet in a quiet location
• Use of lighted arena
• Trail access
• No-climb horse fencing in most turn-out areas
• Rubber mats in eating areas
• Conveniently-located saddle racks and tack holders throughout barn areas
• Free or discounted passes to all Melody Oaks-hosted seminars, clinics, workshops, or other educational events

Individual Services

In addition to Basic Board, other services may be provided (inquire about fees): fly masks on/off – turnouts – blanketing – supplements given – grooming – hand walking – tending to horse for vet/farrier visits.
