Welcome

Melody Oaks Ranch is a small, private horse facility located in beautiful Placerita Canyon in the historic town of Newhall, California. Just a few minutes north of the San Fernando Valley (map), the Ranch has a colorful history having once been part of the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio owned by Western legend Gene Autry and located directly across the road. Still a working studio, Melody Ranch plays host to the annual Cowboy Festival each Spring.

High-quality grass hays, filtered water, and a non-toxic fly system are part of the unique approach to board and care at Melody Oaks Ranch. We also encourage barefoot hoof care, natural horsemanship, and a more holistic approach to overall equine health.

Board is offered on a long- and short-term basis (for horses in training). And we offer seminars, workshops, clinics and special events for our boarders and horse enthusiastics generally.

We hope you will take a few minutes to explore this site to see why Melody Oaks Ranch is a special place for horses and the people who love them!

It's about the horse... naturally!
